Nine gems of sundara kaanda : Hanuman leaves to search for sita

The first of nine descriptive gems of the sundara kanda is this, the opening shloka of the sundara kanda.

ततो रावणनीतायाः सीतायाः शत्रुकर्शनः ।
इयेष पदमन्वेष्टुं  चारणाचरिते पथि ॥ 5-1-1 (सूर्याय )
tatō rāvaṇanītāyāḥ sītāyāḥ śatrukarśanaḥ |
iyēṣa padamanvēṣṭuṁ cāraṇācaritē pathi || 5-1-1 (Sun)

ततः = thereafter,  सीतायाः= सीता  के,  of sita; रावणनीतायाः=  of one who was taken away by ravanA, जो रावण से  ले जा चुकी थी उसके;  शत्रुकर्शन  slayer of enemies ( हनुमान), शत्रुओं को मारने वाले ( हनुमान ); इयेष desired, उत्सुक थे ; पदम्  अन्वेष्टुं  to search for her, उनका अन्वेषण करने के लिए  चारण the celestials, देवताओं के द्वारा ; आचरित  followed by  आचरण  किये हुए ; पथि in the path, पथ में

तत्पश्चात  रावण से ले जा चुकी  सीता के अन्वेषण के लिए देवताओं के द्वारा आचरण किये हुए पथ में जाने  के लिय शत्रुओं का विनाश करने वाले हनुमान उत्सुक थे।


Thereafter, Hanuman, the destroyer of foes, desired to travel in the sky where celestials tread, to search for Seeta, who was taken away by Ravana.
